But could not found who took it! too many things on the internet :-)
Skiing moments are so special I always need to make movies ;-) This winter I had the chance to ski with my father and my brother! I did not went on the slopes for at least 3 years and quitted snowboard for skis! After all these years, the fun is still there!
I have mixed feelings about this campaign coming from a brand that tends to compete on a very consumerist market... But the storytelling behind it is quite good and well excecuted.
Fascinating flowering trees all around Brussels! in that case on the parking on my supermarket, who could tell
Superb shoots of ice caves in AK from a drone. Gives a lot of ideas for new shooting angle of nature and also to visit Alaska ;-)
Mark the date for the craziest ski competition in the Alps! I did it 10 years ago, it was just pure madness, the atmosphe, the people, the skiing! it is the less serious race I have ever seen but nevertheless the best skiers I have even seen!
I will not make it this year, but will think about them!
And below 2 beautiful pictures from La Grave that were included in the programme I received this morning. As Didi from Snowlegend would say: 'keep the positive energy for the pow-pow!'.
Last weekend was the first free-ride competition in the fantastic ski ressort of Baqueira-Beret. I learned to ski there and keep on going every season with my family. There is a great spirit in these Spanish mountains and a really high level for the Pyrenées. This is the first time I see a freeride competition there and I whish I could be part of it! May be next season :-)
Lots of great pictures in March especially during a cool ski trip in Austria. I continue learning how to use (and overuse) the Nik Collection to give a special texture to my pictures. Some nice pictures of my friends Radka and Stelios and their lovely kids.
It is with great pleasure that I announce that Itaka Media was bought by Google today, Tuesday 1 April 2014. With this acquisition, Google is investing in a the promising sector of creative photography, filmmaking and storytelling.
Itaka Media founder and CEO, Alexandre Dechaumont, declares: “ when Google called me this morning, I could not believe it! We found an agreement in 5 minutes and the deal was signed with a google signature. Now back to work!”
The price remain confidential but judging by the smile of Mr Dechaumont it is comfortable enough J
Alexandre ready for some new challenges!
I found two really cool ski pictures of me taken by my friend Mikolai in Cervinia in 2011. The pics were good like that but with a little brushing in Color Effect helped a lot :-)
Interesting ad from Axe deodorant getting away from overly sexualized ads diving a dramatic approach with a nice and sweet ending. Will not convienced me to buy the deodorant but changing my perception of the brand.
Video from our great ski trip with the boys in Sankt Anton, Austria. Sun, heavy snow and a lot of fun! I have mixed shots recorded with the GoPro and the GX7.

A disturbing poem published by Timothy McSweeney gave inspiration to a company providing footages for video makers, Dissolve. The result is pretty impressive as images and the voice are blending quite well. Many stereotypes of corportate videos are flagged and illustrated. Can we do corportate videos using these tools again?
Oscar is the dog of the flower shop in front of my appartment. He is a dog with style! Especially when pimping a bit the picture with some effects, he looks really cool!
Stunning short movie from Mario Casino about train surfing or staff riding in South Africa. The short movie received the 1st prize in the category short movie of the World Press Photo Multimedia Contest. I particularly like the rythm of that movie that builds really from surprise to excitement to reality. Ending not easy to watch!
I am an absolute fan of the Black Keys and really happy about this new song they just released! I hope they will play in Europe again, the concert 2 years ago in Antwerp was epic!
Finally a useful survey! It was brought to my attention by Ramon Suarez and is actually an ongoing debate in France! How many times are people kissing when saying hello? As usual in France, there is no clear cut answer and this survey helps a lot! Something for sure, in Toulouse, we kiss 2 times!
Only 4 percent of women worldwide think they're beautiful, Dove says. The brief for this project, then, was simple: Make women feel better about themselves. Ogilvy Brazil did so in startling fashion, producing the most intriguing social experiment and most viral video of the year. The agency hired FBI forensic artist Gil Zamora to sketch women (sight unseen) as they described themselves, and then as others described them. The differences in the final sketches are stark, and in a way sad, but also uplifting. "You are more beautiful than you think," said the end line—as simple and perfect a brand statement as there could be. The three minutes of footage from the shoot (edited by Paul Kumpata, following an earlier seven-minute version, edited by Philip Owens) would become advertising's high point this year—a clever and poignant exploration of self-esteem that was as beautiful as the subjects it studied.
Another gif from our great trip to Austria, Simon the snow rocket and his very impressive style!
