Apocalypse Snow, 1983

This is where it all started! the first French ski movie, the first snowboard movie... When looking at it now, not much has changed in ski movies nowdays! powder, crazy lines and some jumps! what was really cool at the time was the storyline "to keep the secret of 'la glisse'"... and the good guy snowboarder versus the bad ass monoskiers... very cool! My favourite remains the music that fits really well and could still be used!

Another ski movie...

Skiing moments are so special I always need to make movies ;-) This winter I had the chance to ski with my father and my brother! I did not went on the slopes for at least 3 years and quitted snowboard for skis! After all these years, the fun is still there!

Derby de la La Meije - 26 edition

Mark the date for the craziest ski competition in the Alps! I did it 10 years ago, it was just pure madness, the atmosphe, the people, the skiing! it is the less serious race I have ever seen but nevertheless the best skiers I have even seen!

I will not make it this year, but will think about them!

Baqueira-Beret Rocks!

Last weekend was the first free-ride competition in the fantastic ski ressort of Baqueira-Beret. I learned to ski there and keep on going every season with my family. There is a great spirit in these Spanish mountains and a really high level for the Pyrenées. This is the first time I see a freeride competition there and I whish I could be part of it! May be next season :-)

Pictures from March

Lots of great pictures in March especially during a cool ski trip in Austria. I continue learning how to use (and overuse) the Nik Collection to give a special texture to my pictures. Some nice pictures of my friends Radka and Stelios and their lovely kids.

Gopro in ski movies

There is a little "gopro fatigue" in ski movies! everyone shooting from the helmet, few things to actually see unless you are lucky to be behind a skier, the impression of deepness not exactly there... 

In this movie below, (sponsored by Gopro), there are plenty of very creative other ways to use the gopro. Plenty to experiment this season!!
