Just for the fun
Strange and fantastic webproject made by Arte about what they call Devil's Toy: Skateboarding. Several stories from several cities all over the world. The best is the one in Athens with crazy academic professor teaching skateboard at university :-)
Project link is here: http://thedevilstoy.arte.tv/en/
And yes, I played endless hours with Tetris, and yes I strill have it at home somewhere... just in case :-)
Worth watching till the end!
In the city centre of Oslo, 3 coloured public urinal in blue, white and red with the French moto on the top! only one word: VIVE LA FRANCE!
When I will be a dad, I want to do these kind of movies with my kids! This father is having a lot of fun filming his kid and playing with Special effects! below a sweet one for Mother's day but plenty of great ones on Action Movie Kid YouTube channel.
Can't wait to see the movie!
Beautiful buiding of a great narative with a very touching ending!
Modest hommage to this fantastic TV serie!
Interesting use of video and storytelling around a job interview that does not go the classic way... Quite fun especially at the end :-)
I was not impressed... that could summarize my impressions from my visit at Art Brussels this weekend. Lots of galeries, most of them with very obscure and minimalistic pieces and a bored arty guy sitting there and playing on his mac (they all had mac! it is part of the uniform!). Somehow I though that was not impressive but had a sort of charm as it was reinforcing all clichés about contemporary art.
And then I saw this this below...
clean floor?
What went in my head at that time is hard to describe... I took a picture with the iphone not thinking too much, just trying to capture the intense feelings that were going trough my mind... The picture is bad. I guess there was a message with the letters and I missed it... May be it was funny, had a political message, a deep philosophical meaning, a universal message to all people using dustpans although in that case you can lift lots of dust anymore.
Anyway, sure this galery will not have me as a client and next year, not sure I will make it to Art Brussels.
One last thing from Art Brussels, below a short video I took of a sort of "ghost" with a survival blanket on, of course she was naked below and she was following some random people in the exhibition. Actually next year I might go and just do that :-)
This is where it all started! the first French ski movie, the first snowboard movie... When looking at it now, not much has changed in ski movies nowdays! powder, crazy lines and some jumps! what was really cool at the time was the storyline "to keep the secret of 'la glisse'"... and the good guy snowboarder versus the bad ass monoskiers... very cool! My favourite remains the music that fits really well and could still be used!
Great ads from HBO for their service called HBO GO that will help kids to watch TV series far away from their parents :-)
All the ads are in this great article on TechCrunch.
Funny ad for a new drink called Seth Riley's Garage... Nice narative with lots of reference to Silicon valley and what dudes inventing crazy machines.
A greek tradition over easter is to light a candle at the certain point in the ceremony. Another tradition is to have decorated candles and here are the one I have prepared today. Guess which one is mine ;-)
My girlfriend thinks I am crazy and she might be right... I just finished the 'Roma per Due' a saling race from Rome to Sicilia and back on Virtual Regatta. I did it in a bit less than 5 days wich is really bad if I was on a real boat in real conditions. But if the wind conditions were real, I was online, changing directions and sails from an app on the iphone.
It is not the first race I am doing online, I did the Vendée Globe around the world in almost 3 months, that was much more demanding although the real winners of the race arrived before me (but a virtual racer was quicker than the real one!).
With season 7 of Mad Men starting next Sunday several trailers started to popup on Youtube and Facebook. My favourite is this one called the Psychedelic Journey. Cannot wait to see Don Draper again!
