Olive Harvest in Greece

This is my modest hommage to the best olive oil in the world: the one from my father in law! I know, it is a bit bias but I have tried in this video to show all the hard work and knowledge you need to produce an outstanding olive oil.

I have used lots of slow-motion shoots in order to capture the beauty of the place and of the gesture of olive harvesting.

This olive oil is for sale and I can arrange a shipment anywhere in the world!

Olive season in Kastro (Greece) stars in November and ends around Christmas. It is 2 months of hard work that gives one of the best olive oil I have ever tasted.

Wonderful Time Lapse from Greece

Several of the time lapse I have made in Greece this summer. Most of them are taken in Kastro where my wife is coming from. Time lapse are a great way to capture the beauty of a sunset so watch it in HD! If you like this video, register to my channel!

The sea is more beautiful slow speed!

While in Greece it is difficult not to take pictures of the sea! what is not easy is to make something a bit different. I read in a photo magazine recently that it is interesting to take long shoots of the sea and the movement of the sea will become beautifully blurry, almost foggy.

Ideally it is best to have a filter to reduce the light (can't remember the name). In the few pictures below, I had no filter but I am quite happy about the result. I played a bit with the filters of the Nik Collection to give a bit of style but the result is quite satisfying. On the first two pictures below the aperture is at its lowest (f16) and the shutter speed 1/8 of a second. I particularly like the smoky effect close to the rock on the second picture. For the third pic, the aperture is f14 and the speed at 1/10 of a second.

The sky is a completely burned which is a pity as it is quite beautiful but as there was no clouds, there was nothing to contrast with.

I strongly recommend to try this technique, it is a really nice way to take original pics of the sea and to capture a little bit of the magic of its movement!

Impression from Mount Athos

This video is about our trip to Mount Athos in August 2013.
With Vasilis we were both very curious about this place but not necessarily looking for a religious or mystical experience. During the preparation, we decided to climb to the top of Mont Athos (2027 metres). That gave us a challenging goal! On our way to the top, we realised there was a cloud stuck at the top of the mountain… a strange meteorological phenomenon I have cannot explain! We reached the top in the mist with an incredible wind.
We spent 4 days on the ‘holy mountain’, enough to get a glimpse of this incredible place, enough to give some impressions…
This movie was recorded with a GoPro camera that may explain the ‘fisheye’ look of the footages. I could not film in the churches or at dinner with the monks, that would not have been correct. These impression will remain for us.
